About Stef – The Story Behind the Policy
Hi, I am Stef. I didn’t get into insurance because I love paperwork. I got into it because I watched life fall apart—and realized the right coverage could’ve changed everything.
At one point, I was staring down foreclosure. Not because I was reckless or didn't care—but because of decisions made by someone I trusted. (Let’s just say my Ex-spouse had a knack for gambling and denial.) It was terrifying. Humiliating. It was also completely avoidable but I was left to pick up the pieces
Right in the middle of that nightmare, my Mom became paralyzed out of nowhere. She had what most people would call “good insurance,” but it wasn’t enough. She was sent home way too early and spent the next seven years in a hospital bed—in the living room with my Sister and Dad administering needles and watching her around the clock.
I saw the system fail her. And I knew I wasn’t the only one out there thinking, “Wait… this is what insurance is supposed to look like?”
Both those experiences lit a fire in me I couldn’t put out. I realized how many families are one emergency, one health scare, or one financial storm away from losing everything. And I knew I had to do something about it.
That’s why I started Unboring Insurance—to make sure other families don’t have to find out the hard way that their “coverage” is full of gaps.
Today, I specialize in private health insurance and mortgage protection insurance, but more than that, I specialize in cutting through confusion, helping people understand their options, and giving them real support—not corporate scripts.
